About the Practice
Our Expert Indiana Therapists help individuals, children, families, Veterans, and professionals navigate trauma, burnout, stress, and everyday life challenges so they can feel more stable, supported, and equipped to move forward with clarity and confidence — building meaningful, lasting change in their everyday lives in Indiana.
The name WellHome Psychology is rooted in the belief that safety and healing are not tied to a single place.
The philosophy behind WellHome was shaped, in part, by experiences within military life—where the idea that “home is wherever you are” reflects the need to adapt, create stability, and find a sense of safety in changing environments.
At WellHome, we carry that belief into our work. We recognize that healing doesn’t happen in isolation or in a single setting—it happens in the spaces where life is actually lived.
That’s why we provide care in-home, in the community, and virtually—supporting individuals and families in building a sense of stability, safety, and well-being in their everyday environments.
WellHome Psychology was built on a shared foundation that began long before the practice itself.
Leah and I met nearly 20 years ago while working together in a nonprofit organization providing in-home and community-based services. From the beginning, we were connected by shared values around helping others, building meaningful relationships, and creating spaces where people feel supported and understood.
Over time, our paths took different directions—gaining experience across a variety of settings, populations, and roles—but we remained grounded in a similar philosophy of care and continued as close friends and colleagues.
When the opportunity came to build something together, WellHome Psychology became a natural extension of that shared vision: a practice designed to be both clinically strong and genuinely accessible, where care reflects the realities of people’s lives.
Our intention has always been twofold: to provide high-quality, trauma-informed care for clients, and to create a work environment where clinicians feel supported, respected, and able to grow in their own professional identities. We believe that when clinicians are able to practice thoughtfully and sustainably, the quality of care naturally follows.
Today, we continue to grow WellHome Psychology with that same intention—creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and able to make meaningful, lasting change.
At WellHome Psychology, our mission is to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and high quality care to individuals, couples, and families across Indiana.
We are committed to expanding equitable access to high-quality mental health care through flexible service options — including telehealth, in-home, and community-based (nature) therapy — for those facing barriers such as time, financial strain, stigma, or limited local resources.
Beyond therapy, we actively work to reduce systemic and practical barriers to care. We advocate for whole-person wellness through coordination of care, support with accommodations and resources, and collaboration with medical and community providers.
We are also dedicated to strengthening the broader mental health system by developing trauma-informed programs and supporting paraprofessionals, clinicians, and community partners through supervision, consultation, training, and collaborative partnerships across Indiana.
At our core, we value dignity, autonomy, and the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship. We are committed not only to providing high quality care, but to advancing a more accessible, inclusive, and compassionate system of mental health support.
We honor the lived experiences and identities of every individual and provide care that is culturally responsive, respectful, and affirming.
We believe everyone deserves access to care that helps them feel safe, supported, and able to heal — regardless of their circumstances. We are committed to reducing barriers and expanding access to meaningful support.
We take a whole-person approach that recognizes the connection between mind and body, supporting sustainable, long-term healing and overall well-being.
We view therapy as a partnership built on trust, mutual respect, and shared goals. We work alongside clients and, when appropriate, other providers to create coordinated and effective care.
We support individuals in recognizing their strengths, building self-awareness, and developing the tools needed for meaningful growth and lasting change.
We actively work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health by fostering a culture where well-being is prioritized and seeking support is seen as a strength.
We are committed to ethical, transparent care and to advocating for our clients within systems. We also contribute to strengthening the broader mental health landscape through collaboration, training, and the development of trauma-informed programs and providers.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker / senior clinical lead
Emily Liechty is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has spent more than a decade helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, and the quiet but exhausting pressure of never quite feeling like enough. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and has spent her career blending evidence-based care with genuine human connection, beginning in community mental health before transitioning into private practice and, more recently, clinical leadership.

Emily creates a space where clients can feel seen, understood, and accepted, often for the first time in a long time.
Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and trauma-informed care, Emily partners with clients to better understand themselves, develop practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change. Her approach is warm, collaborative, grounded, and deeply practical. She believes therapy works best when it is built on trust, curiosity, and a willingness to move forward one step at a time.
In addition to her clinical work, Emily serves as a Senior Clinical Lead, providing supervision, consultation, and mentorship to clinicians while helping strengthen systems that support high-quality, compassionate care. She is especially passionate about clinician well-being and creating a work environment where therapists feel supported and able to do their best work.

Behavior Skills Coach / Doctor of Evolutionary Psychology
At WellHome Psychology, Rudy believes everyone deserves a compassionate, judgment-free space to feel supported as they build practical skills for everyday life. As a doctor of evolutionary psychology (PhD) from the University of Penn State with over a decade of experience, Rudy helps individuals and families understand how our brains are wired for survival, connection, and growth—then translates that insight into actionable strategies that improve daily functioning at home, in school, and in relationships.
Rudy’s background includes more than ten years working directly with children, adolescents, adults, and their families. His work with youth has focused on middle-school students in special education through the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA). He has extensive experience supporting individuals with behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and school- or work-related concerns, and works closely with parents and individuals to develop consistent routines, clear expectations, and effective responses to everyday challenges. Through his work with Army Community Service (ACS), Rudy also supported military families navigating deployment and relocation stress, helping families adjust to major life transitions.
Rudy provides Behavioral Skills Coaching—a structured, goal-oriented service focused on building practical skills rather than diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. His work includes developing and supporting Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), reinforcement systems, Check-In/Check-Out routines, and other evidence-informed strategies commonly used in school and home settings. He incorporates frameworks such as Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS/RTI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), along with skill-building approaches drawn from cognitive-behavioral and social-emotional learning principles to support improved behavior, organization, and self-regulation.
Rudy works collaboratively through coaching and consultation, focusing on behavioral consistency, skill development, and strengthening routines across environments. He supports both youth and adults in developing executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, task completion, and follow-through, as well as emotional regulation, stress management, and understanding patterns in thoughts and reactions. His approach helps clients build awareness of why they respond the way they do and develop more effective, intentional behaviors in daily life, relationships, and work or school settings.
For families, Rudy provides hands-on coaching to support children and adolescents with behavioral challenges, while helping parents implement consistent, practical strategies at home. For adults, he offers structured support to improve daily functioning, increase accountability, and build sustainable habits that align with personal and professional goals.
Rudy offers virtual coaching, parent consultation, and skills-based support for individuals and families navigating behavioral challenges, executive functioning difficulties, life transitions, school or work-related stress, and military family adjustments.
Rudy is not a licensed provider and does not provide diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders. All services are skills-based and provided under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Rudy welcomes individuals and families looking for structured, supportive guidance and practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change.

Join Our Practice
If you are interested in joining the WellHome Team or have questions, you can ask them or submit your application documents at [email protected].
We know that reaching out for support can come with a lot of questions. Below are answers to some of the most common things people wonder before getting started. If you don’t see your question here, we’re always happy to help — feel free to reach out.
Getting started is simple. You can complete our contact form or request an appointment through our website. From there, our team will review your information and help guide you to the service and provider that best fits your needs.
You don’t need to have that figured out ahead of time. We’ll help you determine the best fit based on your needs, goals, and preferences.
Online therapy (telehealth) allows you to meet with your therapist through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Sessions follow the same structure and clinical approach as in-person therapy, while offering greater flexibility and accessibility.
At WellHome Psychology, online therapy is integrated into a broader model of care, allowing services to adapt over time based on your needs, goals, and environment. WellHome Psychology provides online (virtual) therapy services throughout all of Indiana.
You are not limited to one type of service. Many clients begin with online therapy and later transition to in-home or community-based sessions as their needs evolve. At WellHome Psychology, our therapists have the flexibility to adjust your treatment approach over time. This allows your care to stay aligned with your goals, your environment, and what will be most helpful at each stage of the process.
In-home therapy takes place in your home environment, allowing us to work within the context of your daily life. This can be especially helpful for children, families, and individuals who benefit from real-time support in their natural setting. See the locations where WellHome Psychology provides in-home therapy services here.
Community-based or nature therapy takes place in real-world environments such as parks, stores, walking trails, or other everyday settings. This approach allows you to practice skills, build confidence, and work through challenges in the environments where they naturally occur — rather than only talking about them in a traditional setting. Sessions are always tailored to your goals, comfort level, and clinical needs.
See the locations where WellHome Psychology provides community-based therapy services here.
Trauma therapy is a type of therapy that helps you understand how past and ongoing experiences may be shaping how you think, feel, and respond in your daily life. It focuses on building awareness of patterns, improving emotional regulation, and helping your mind and body feel safer and more grounded over time. Trauma therapy is not about reliving everything you’ve been through — it’s about making sense of your experiences in a way that feels manageable and supportive. At WellHome, this work is collaborative, paced to your comfort level, and focused on helping you create meaningful, lasting change in your everyday life.
Yes. We take confidentiality seriously and work with you to choose settings that feel safe and appropriate. We also discuss privacy considerations as part of the intake process to ensure your comfort and understanding in any setting.
Therapy can help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, while also building practical skills to manage stress, improve relationships, and navigate challenges more effectively. Our goal is to support meaningful, lasting change — not just insight, but real-life impact.
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change. Therapy can be a space to gain clarity, build skills, and move forward in a more intentional way.
